What is a Burger Battle?

Detroit’s most delicious competition is back — and bigger than ever! Join us for the 10th Anniversary of Burger Battle Detroit at Eastern Market Shed 5 on Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

Up to 12 of Detroit’s top restaurants will battle it out, each serving a signature burger as they compete for the title of Burger Battle Detroit Champion 2026. Your ticket includes all-you-can-sample burgers and the chance to vote for your favorites during the official voting window.

Burger Battle Bonuses

Each year also features an array of local merchants and vendors, so feel free to get in a little shopping between burger samples and a refreshing drink. Ticket holders vote for their top 3 burgers/restaurants. The top 5 vote getters then go on to create a burger for our panel of celebrity judges made up of local food critics, entertainment and sports figures and journalists. There is a limited quantity VIP/Early Entry ticket available that allows entry at 11 a.m. Doors for general admission are at 1 p.m. There will only be a limited number of tickets sold for this year’s event – we strongly encourage getting your tickets early.

Parking: Free on-site parking at and around Shed 5.

Bar: Drinks from our full bar will be available for purchase as well as some great vendors.

Tickets: Pre-Sale Discounted Tickets start at $20. Limited Quanties at $20 and once they sell out the price will increase to $30. No refunds.

What You Get: Well, of course, it wouldn’t be the biggest burger battle in the Midwest without a heavy dose of burgers! All ticket holders get unlimited (but while they last) samples from up to 15 of metro detroit's top restaurant competing restaurants.
